You can even check and view the coin balances straight from the device screen.
What Coins Does The Trezor Model T Support?
Trezor Model T operates on a completely new firmware, created from the ground up, referred to as the Trezor Core. Trezor developed this new firmware, using knowledge from past experiences and earned while working on different projects, including the original Trezor One.
Trezor Core is also open-source and readily available for review and adaptation. The most crucial feature of Core is that it was written with expansibility in mind, allowing for safer and easier implementation of diverse new functions which were previously difficult to program.
The Model T – thanks to Core, will be able support for different new coins and functions in Trezor T. This means that it will be so much easier for Trezor to support new and emerging cryptocurrencies as and when there is demand.
Trezor Model T Improved Security
Trezor T has improved security in comparison to other hard wallets since all pin entry is completed directly on the hardware device itself.
You can be certain no one can see your PIN or your Recovery seed, make certain you cover the Trezor Model T whenever you enter them. Thanks to the on-device PIN entry, the model T doesn’t need to communicate with your computer before it is unlocked with the PIN. The fact is, it will only pull power, when the user validates themselves, leaving absolutely nothing to chance.
The device is backed up by a simple 12-word phrase, the recovery seed, compatible with the common standards for HD wallets (BIP32/39/44). Recover your seed on a new device and you can start managing your wallet on the new device. Of course, you can also restore the 24 word seed on the new Trezor T. So if you are looking to upgrade from the original Trezor to the new Trezor T you can.
